P1977 – Communication Error MMC Colt

FUNCTION

  • Monitor engine-ECU calculation.
  • Monitoring is performed periodically.

    • TROUBLE JUDGMENT

  • Ignition switch is “ON” position.
  • Engine-ECU cannot calculate the data being input.

    • PROBABLE CAUSE

  • Failed engine-ECU

    • DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

    STEP 1. M.U.T.-III diagnosis code

  • After clearing the diagnosis code through M.U.T.-III, ignition switch is “ON” position and confirm whether the diagnosis code is output.

    • Q. Diagnosis code set?
