FUNCTION

  • The chassis number is stored in the engine-ECU by the vehicle manufacturer.

  • TROUBLE JUDGMENT

  • Ignition switch is “ON” position.
  • The entered chassis number data history is not found.

  • PROBABLE CAUSE

  • The chassis number is not entered.
  • Failed engine-ECU.

  • DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

    STEP 1. Check VIN information.

  • Set M.U.T.-III to the coding mode for chassis number information.
  • Q. Has VIN (current) been written?

    STEP 2. M.U.T.-III diagnosis code.

  • Reconfirm whether the diagnosis code is set.
  • Erase the diagnosis codes being set.
  • Ignition switch: “LOOK” (OFF) to ON.
  • Confirm whether the diagnosis code is set.
  • Q. Is the diagnosis code set?

    STEP 3. M.U.T.-III diagnosis code.

  • Reconfirm whether the diagnosis code is set.
  • Erase the diagnosis codes being set.
  • Ignition switch: “LOOK” (OFF) to ON.
  • Confirm whether the diagnosis code is set.
  • Q. Is the diagnosis code set?
