P1966 – Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor Trustful For Torque Monitoring MMC Colt



FUNCTION

  • Compare the actual inlet manifold pressure through manifold absolute pressure sensor with the assumed inlet manifold pressure through the throttle position sensor (main/sub) signal.

  • TROUBLE JUDGMENT

  • Ignition switch is “ON” position.
  • Throttle position sensor (main/sub) is normal.
  • Monitoring time: ones per 100 ms
  • The difference between the assumed intake air pipe pressure by throttle position sensor (main) and by throttle position sensor (sub) is 7 kPa or less.
  • The difference between the actual and the assumed inlet manifold pressure through the throttle position sensor (main) is 27 kPa or more.
  • The difference between the actual and the assumed inlet manifold pressure through the throttle position sensor (sub) is 27 kPa or more.

  • PROBABLE CAUSES

  • Failed manifold absolute pressure sensor
  • Harness damage in manifold absolute pressure sensor circuit
  • Failed engine-ECU
