P1232 – Fail-safe Control System MMC Colt

FUNCTION

  • To determine whether the fail-safe control can be performed, turn throttle valve control servo relay to “OFF” position for an instant and confirm the power supply to throttle valve control servo circuit can be stopped.

    • TROUBLE JUDGMENT

  • Ignition switch is “ON” position.
  • The power supply to throttle valve control servo cannot be shut off although the power supply is stopped.

    • PROBABLE CAUSES

  • Failed throttle valve control servo relay circuit
  • Failed engine-ECU

    • DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

    STEP 1. M.U.T.-III diagnosis code

    Q. Diagnosis code set?

    STEP 2. M.U.T.-III actuator test

  • Item No. 10: Throttle valve control servo

    • Q. Is the check result normal?
